School Podcast Initiative Germany
Our focus is the empowerment of German schools to create their own podcasts promoting creativity and communication skills, while highlighting the unique stories and perspectives of students and teachers in Germany. Our program encourages students across Germany to find their unique voice and succeed in the digital age. We help equip schools and students with a wide range of tools and skills in podcasting to help them create, share, and amplify meaningful insights and stories.​​ We also aim to offer schools who lack resources the opportunity to create their own podcast.

Teacher Workshop
Our hands-on workshop equips teachers with the skills and confidence to launch and lead a student-run school podcast. Through real-world examples, including our work with Schule Bahrenfelder Straße, you’ll see how podcasting can come to life in a school setting. You’ll discover how this medium builds student confidence, encourages collaboration, and strengthens communication skills in a digital learning environment.
We’ll show you how simple it is to record and edit using the tools and space you already have. You’ll explore a variety of podcast formats, from interviews to school news, and learn how to help students shape episodes that truly matter. The workshop walks you through the full production process: idea generation, scripting, recording, editing, and publishing.
You’ll also get practical strategies for engaging students, building a motivated podcast team, and creating space for authentic student voices. Finally, we’ll cover publishing options, from internal school platforms to Spotify and how to handle permissions and safety with confidence. Teachers leave the workshop with practical tools, editable templates, and a clear step-by-step plan to launch their own school podcast.
